Additional Notes:
The front porch is 4'-6" deep by 16' wide. The rear deck is 10' deep by 36' wide. The right side deck is 6' deep by 28' wide.(not including the 4'-6" and 10' at the front and back) The left side is 6'deep by 6' wide.(not including the 10' at rear)
Have a look at CoolHousePlan number CHP28142. This design is very similar but with a walkout basement foundation. It is slightly larger at 864 for both the first and basement, 686 for the second, for a total of 1550, 2414 if the basemnet is to be finished. The dotted line to the right of the wood stove indicates where the extent of the second story floor ends. The wood stove wall height is nine feet and slopes up to the second story studio. The Studio is open to this area below with a railing. The railing has a eight foot height that continues to slope up to form a thirteen foot high vaulted Studio.
1. The ten foot notation indicates the flat ceiling height in the front bedroom. In the studio this line is the height at which there are double 2 x 8 exposed cedar ceiling ties and the ceiling continues sloping up past these ties up to a 13 foot high flat ceiling that is approximately 3 feet wide.
2. The ceiling finishes are called up as 1 x 6 tongue and groove western red cedar.
3. The ceiling in the bedroom slopes down to 8 feet at the front of the closet and 6 feet at the rear of the closet and the opposite wall.
4. The ceiling in the studio slopes down to 8 feet above the railing and 6 feet at the sloped attic storage.
5. The shaded area in the bedroom closet indicates a storage shelf above the hanging rod. The shaded area in the linen closet indicates five storage shelves.
6. The ziggy line indicates the roof line break.
7. The wall between the kitchen and dining room is load bearing but just picking up the second story floor load. A post could be located at the end of the counter to eliminate or open up this wall.
